Newman’s Own Foundation donated more than A$1million to Australian charities in 2010 with approximately half the funding allocated to the purchase of new vehicles.
A total of 13 charities received funding for new vehicles, which will be used in the field and/or for transport for causes such as the visually impaired, austic children, cerebral palsy, Aboriginal literacy and animal welfare.
A further 14 charities received grants of up to $60,000 for a variety of special projects including disabled children, childhood diseases, the homeless, at‐risk youth and disadvantage women.
The 2010 and 2011 grants have brought the total funding to Australian and New Zealand charities to more than A$ 18 million since the first Paul Newman’s product was launched here in 1984. Newman’s Own recently surpassed US$ 300 million in total worldwide charitable contributions.
